Sarah Harriott
Clinical Psychologist
Nurture Perinatal Psychology
My name is Sarah, and I am a Clinical Psychologist and founder of Nurture Perinatal Psychology. After working in general private practice for 6 years, I became a parent and began to realise just how uniquely challenging and isolating the perinatal period can be. This sparked a desire to help new parents feel less alone- thus, Nurture Perinatal Psychology was born.
I am passionate about supporting women and men through the array of challenges that can arise throughout the perinatal period- from fertility difficulties, mental and emotional health challenges such as ante/post-natal depression and anxiety, OCD, body image concerns, and post-partum rage, through to relationship difficulties, the parent-infant bond, and the adjustment to parenthood. As an accredited facilitator of Circle of Security Parenting, I love guiding parents on ways to cultivate a healthy attachment with their child from early on, and providing parents with the tools to help them to be the parents they always hoped to be.
I am a wife and a mother of two young children. As well as my private practice work, I am a clinical supervisor for provisional and early-career psychologists, and a regular panelist on the television program Be That.
My goal is to provide a calming, judgement-free space for you to feel seen, heard and supported. I practice across two locations (Maroochydore and Peregian Beach) and offer Medicare rebates for those with a mental health care plan. If you are facing challenges within the perinatal period, I am here to help.
